Go here to read Chapter 4 of Whisper to the Blood, the 16th Kate Shugak novel, which arrives at a bookstore near you exactly one month from today! (Exclamation point indicates level of author excitement. Two years is a very long gestation period. Ask any elephant.) Whisper to the Blood author events: Tuesday, February 17th: Pub day party at the Poisoned Pen Bookstore in Scottsdale, Arizona. It's at 7pm, my bud Laurie King is joining me, and there will be food and prizes (some from my Zazzle store). Saturday, February 21: 6pm signing at Title Wave Books in Anchorage, Alaska. Tuesday, March 3: I'll be chatting with the Danamaniacs on Chatzy at 5pm Alaska time/9pm Eastern. My last name is the password.
